Sambar 1 day meat hunt

Magnum Hunting Australia

Hunt Description

Looking to fill the freezer without the week-long commitment? Our one-day meat hunts offer a premier opportunity to immerse yourself in the outdoors and secure organic, high-quality venison.

Guided by Experience
You’ll be heading out with Brendan, a guide whose life has been defined by the Victorian bush. From chasing ducks as a child to his “obsession” with Sambar deer that began at 19, Brendan has spent decades mastering the craft. Based in the Victorian High Country with his wife Holli and their children, Brendan treats every guest like a friend, focusing on the pride and satisfaction that comes from a successful, ethical harvest.

The Experience
Each hunt includes one animal—typically Fallow or Sambar deer—and is tailored to your experience level. Whether you are a seasoned hunter or a beginner looking to learn the ropes, we provide a journey that celebrates Australia’s wild places and hunting traditions.

Join Brendan at Magnum Hunting Australia, forge genuine friendships, and create a memory that you’ll compare every future trip to.

Local knowledge and connections

28/09/2026

Brendan has Quite a number of connections providing options for alternative places to hunt, when animals were scarce in a particular area. Certainly a plus as game numbers changed from years past on a couple of stations, the supplied rifle, ammunition, and other gear performed very well.

Best Guided Hunt I've Ever Been On!

28/09/2026

I Liked that the guide talked everything through with us, and we had input on what we did. He was very knowledgeable about the property that we were hunting and was able to put us on multiple shooters. Even the after hunt was an amazing atmosphere, sitting around a campfire talking about what happened that day and what the next day might bring.
