Animal Art Taxidermy is a specialist taxidermy studio with a legacy of craftsmanship dating back to 1996. Founded by an experienced hunter and wildlife observer, the business combines a deep understanding of animal behaviour, posture, and anatomy with decades of hands-on practice to create lifelike, high-quality mounts of both Australian and international game.

Known for a meticulous, no-shortcuts approach, the studio focuses on producing one-of-a-kind custom-designed mounts that capture movement, expression, and personality — the kind of work that draws you in and makes you look twice. Every mount is uniquely sculpted and posed, with no reused or replicated forms, ensuring each piece is a true original.

While mammals are the primary focus, birds have become an increasing passion in recent years. Whether it’s a dramatic shoulder mount, a full-body dynamic pose, or a bespoke artistic display, the studio works closely with clients to bring their vision to life. Commissioned pieces are welcomed from a wide range of clients including non-hunters, interior designers, artists, and collectors.

Licensed to work on deer, game birds, native fauna, and pest species, the studio also occasionally accepts pet preservation work, subject to availability. Due to the custom nature of the work and high demand, lead times are currently 12 to 24 months.
