Each year we host a BIG annual camp as a club that all members are invited too. Last year the camp was located in Victoria, this year we are going to run it in Nundel State Forest, NSW.

Given we will be camping in state forest you will need to bring the following:
- Food for 3 days
- Water
- Tent/soft top on car
- Clothes
- Blankets
- Chair
- Shovel & toilet paper (there are no toilets)
Last year given it was the first time we’d hosted the camp the schedule was pretty casual. This year we might add a bit of structure, maybe get a guest speaker for the first night. First and foremost the camp is about connecting, so there will be a lot of downtime to just hangout by the fire.
CAMP LOCATION:
We will be camping in Nundle State Forest at the following co ordinates (-31.402471238424383, 151.25688408287388) highlighted in the yellow marked cleared section. This area is off boundary road to the south, near Hanging Rock.
HUNTING: (important)
The focus of our animal camps is for members to socialise and hang out with other members, however there will be limited hunting opportunities in the area for those interested.
With all state forests in NSW there is a limit to how many registered R-Licence holders can hunt a given state forest at any given time. Nundle State Forest has a limit between 20-30 hunters each day. This means that only a select number of members can bring their rifles to camp and hunt the surrounding area. There is no limit however to the amount of people who want to camp without a firearm or bow or who want to tag along the hunts as observers.
If you want to bring your rifle/black powder rifle/showgun or bow to the camp and hunt you will need to have an active R-Licence and book your spot in the Nundle state forest for each of the 3 days via the DPI portal in the months leading up to the camp. The ability to book a hunting spot in Nundel SF on the camp dates won’t open until mid August. We also have no control on who get’s in, so it will be first come first served.
