I will be bringing two whole fallow deer to a mates property in Toowoomba and running through skinning and butchering. I’ll probably process one deer hanging, and one on the ground. I hunt in state forests a lot and know that you can’t always hang the animal up. I’m not a butcher or a professional, so the demonstration is just of my own learned skillset and what works for me. We’ll be doing a names in a hat draw for different cuts of venison, so bring an esky. There will be limited numbers so that everyone can take a cut of meat home with them.
