Scrub Bull, or Feral Ox, were once the domestic cattle in Australia. After their escape from the stations (ranches) they adapted quickly to the Australian landscape and now they make for a challenging hunt! Scrub Bulls are prominent in northern Australia and are not to be confused with the famous Australian Bangteng. With monster horns on their heads, and the body mass of Scrub Bulls, you will be satisfied after taking one of these impressive animals down!
Our main location is located on the Roper River which allows for great access to many different animals. Generally, you will hunt a spot and stalk style hunt from one of several specially outfitted 4×4 vehicles which all have a winch, satellite phone, GPS, first aid kit, and other necessary off road gear for your convenience.
Other activities available in the Northern Territory are; World Class Barramundi fishing, Helicopter sightseeing, Aboriginal Art and sacred relic viewing, and numerous tourist and shopping destinations at the Top End.
For information on the prices of Scrub Bulls and other animals, please check out the Price-List page.
A firearms license is required for hunting with any firearm in Australia. Download the application below.

Australian Outfitters provides high quality, luxury accommodations in their Northern Territory water buffalo camp. Our tent camps have comfortable queen or king size beds with cotton sheets, quality duvets and towels. Generated electricity provides power for lights, cooling fans, refrigerator, freezer, hot showers, and laundry facilities.
Relaxing near your tent, around the barbecue or by the fire pit with a local Australian cold beer or wine is always very nice after a day’s hunting. Our tent camp is located on the banks of the Roper River and it’s tributaries with majestic views is a very relaxing and calming spot. A great place for the non hunter, as well as the hunter, to relax while on a great safari vacation.
At Australian Outfitters, we pride ourselves with the meals we serve our guests. From hot breakfasts to gourmet dinners, you will not go hungry during your time with us.
Every morning starts with a hot breakfast featuring meat, eggs and toast. Meat will be either thick cut, Australian bacon, or made-in-camp buffalo sausages. Fresh eggs will be fried or sometimes we have a special Mexican scramble or cheesy omelets.
After a long day hunting, nothing is better than returning to a cold beer and a variety of snacks. A hot shower also awaits the weary hunter. Then dinner is served. Meat and vegetables grace the table every night. From thick cut, Australian beef, steaks to mixed fajitas with all the trimmings, every meal will please the taste buds and fill the stomach. Meat from harvested buffalo is used to make our signature corned beef and cabbage with mustard sauce and buffalo meatloaf is always a hit.
