Marble Island sits 20 km off Queensland’s Capricorn Coast—reachable only by light aircraft—and once you land, it’s just you, the deer, and a thousand hectares of untouched coastline.

What to Expect
• Departure from Rockhampton via charter flight
• Scenic flight over the Duke Islands Group
• Meet-and-greet on arrival
• Firearm proficiency test
• Guided island orientation to get your bearings
Once on the island
• Self-guided hunting
• GPS pins and maps showing high deer activity areas
• Hunt, fish, and explore at your own pace
• Return to camp whenever you like
Evenings are spent:
• Cooking in the camp kitchen
• Eating well
• Sitting under a star-filled sky
• Listening to waves roll onto the beach

• Season: April–November (Tuesday–Friday only)
• Duration: 4 days / 3 nights
• Group size: Maximum 4
• Access: Fly-in only (charter flights included)
• Cargo allowance: Weight restrictions apply (advised on booking)

• 3 meat animals included
• Optional trophy stag of your choice — $1,500

Fishing
• Fish the island’s:
• Beaches
• Rocky points
• Reef edges
• All fishing must comply with current Queensland size and bag limits
Requirements
• Hunting Agreement & Indemnity signed on arrival
• Current firearms licence
• Minimum calibre: .243 / 6mm
• Firearm proficiency test required:
• 3-shot group within 300 mm @ 200 m
• Bring your own firearms, ammo, bow, and fishing gear
• Cargo limits apply
• International hunters require a QLD Visitor’s Licence
• Must be physically fit
Booking & Payments
• $1,000 deposit required on booking
• Deposit forfeited if cancelled within 2 months of arrival
• Full payment due 2 months prior to arrival

(1) All inquiries are sent directly to the guide and it is the responsibility of the guide to get back to you. Hunting Trips Australia is an advertising platform only. We are not responsible for the hunting trip providers listed on our website. Any agreements or arrangements are solely between you and the provider. Conduct your own research before engaging in any hunting trips or transactions.
(2) Guides are often out hunting in remote locations and will not have access to emails or phone reception. For this reason, sometimes they can be slow in responding. Please be patient when waiting for a response.
(3) It is not uncommon for guides to be booked out 3-6 months in advance. Please keep that in mind when requesting prospective dates.
