Queensland safaris operate over are on our 12000 acre sheep station in SE Queensland .
We are a comfortable 3 hour drive inland west from Brisbane.
Other optional activities on hunt
You can easily upgrade to hunt Goats, Feral ram, Scrub bull or Wild boar in the same region.
We offer first class fresh water fishing for Silver and Golden perch as well as our native Catfish. These you can catch by using either flies , lures or live bait. You can hunt for rabbits, ducks, catch yabbies fro bait or eating . Our wilderness areas is abundant with native wildlife and birds, and is one only regions that you will see as much wildlife free and wild anywhere.
Tours of local attractions is always offered to non-hunters these include markets, wineries antiques.
How we hunt: We use 4wd’s to reach to certain hunting areas and then the hunting is on foot. Terrain is stony, with eucalypt and cypress pine forests, there is a lots of brush for cover. It is a dry stony terrain.We also use blinds set up on watering points.
What we hunt : We have 7 species of deer are located in Queensland and 2 species in Victoria or Northern Territory. In Queensland we have Fallow, Red , Chital, and 2 species of Rusa [Javan and Molluccan] . Goats, Scub bulls, feral sheep as well as turkey and wild boar t roam the area. We also offer feral/vermin game hunts. We can also organize Sambar and Hog deer hunts in the other locations as well as Buffalo and Banteng .
Fees for deer hunts: Hunt rates are calculated on a daily rate per hunter [maximum of 6 in a hunt safety first] and then a trophy fee added when a deer is successfully taken. Price is calculated on the number of days needed and this is influenced by the time of year, number of hunters in group and species of deer and number desired]….a normal hunt averages about 3 days in length if only taking one species .Daily rates vary on number of hunters. So enquire about your particular needs and we can personalized a quote for you.
Our 5000-acre property has it’s own unique biodiversity of Australian Flora, Fauna, Reptiles & mammals. 260 odd species of birds along with the natural beauty of the wild game. We encourage everyone to enjoy the many ways there are to view and immerse yourself in the surrounds of “Nyora” as we offer bushwalking, farm tours, bring your camera and capture the moment from that quiet hillside. We are hunters with an appreciation of Mother Nature.
On your hunt with us Brad will personally guide you and prepare your trophies ready for the taxidermist. Whilst I help you with any hunting and travel arrangements, making your preparation as easy as possible. Offering assistance and advice on gun regulations, shipping of trophies, ammunition, all those
things that with professional expertise flows smoothly.
The Havago home base is in South Eastern Queensland, 3hrs drive west of Brisbane here you’ll have the choice of either hunting with sole access on our 5000 + acres of what we call traprock country. Great natural rugged terrain for deer, wild boar and goats that you can hunt here. You may also take the
opportunity to do some freshwater fishing, our native fish respond to either lures, flies or live bait. You can just come here and hunt smaller game like pigs if you wish or chase a BIG stag it’s your choice.
Sole occupancy
When you book a hunt with us it is on a sole occupancy basis, [meaning you or your party will be our only guests for the entire time you have booked with us, having sole use of the hunting grounds,) this allows us to best meet your personal and hunting requirements.
Transportation and rifle hire
All trips include full accommodations, road transportation to and from hunting areas while you are on your hunt. Rifle hire can be arranged for the hunt.
Pricing
This is how it works :
We charge a daily rate per hunter for how many days you stay and a fee for ever Buffalo yearling steer you shoot.
This daily rate gives you the following:
- sole occupancy of the 5000 acres for the time you are booked in
- an experienced guide who gets you on the game, sets up baits for game if needed, skins and
capes and offers advice and helpful insights into all aspects of hunting
- freshwater fishing and yabbying
- hunting of foxes and rabbits.
- meals and accommodation on hunt.
- NOTE: there is a 2-day minimum on the hunt and you are entitled to arrive the afternoon the day
before the hunt so that you can sight in your rifle/bows in at the range and hunt 2 days depart
afternoon of 2nd day. (Price for 1 day hunt on application)
Day rate (+ gst) is:
- 1 Hunter $400 per day
- 2 Hunters $350 a day each
- 3 + Hunters $300 a day each
- Nonhunters $200 a day each
+ Trophy deer Fallow or Rusa from $4000
+ Trophy Red Stags from $4500
