Weekend in the High Country – Sambar Deer Hunt

The Experience: Join us for a camping-style weekend hunt in Victoria’s High Country, based on exclusive private land where we target Sambar deer using a variety of proven hunting techniques. This hands-on, educational experience is ideal for beginners and seasoned hunters alike. The package includes up to 2 hinds per hunter, with the option to pursue a trophy stag (POA).

Hunters supply their own camping gear, meals and beverages—however, catering and gear can be provided at an additional cost. It’s a genuine free-range adventure designed to build skills, confidence and unforgettable memories in some of Australia’s most iconic deer country.

Guided by Experience
You’ll be heading out with Brendan, a guide whose life has been defined by the Victorian bush. From chasing ducks as a child to his “obsession” with Sambar deer that began at 19, Brendan has spent decades mastering the craft. Based in the Victorian High Country with his wife Holli and their children, Brendan treats every guest like a friend, focusing on the pride and satisfaction that comes from a successful, ethical harvest.
