Helicopter Safari

ANH

Hunt Description

Camels, Donkeys, Wild dogs and Scrub Bulls

Based Out of Alice Spring we offer hunting safaris for you and your mates to see who gets the bragging rights for the trip between camels, donkeys, wild dogs and scrub bulls.

We use the helicopters to transport you to the hunting areas and to spot the desired trophy’s you wish to bag, once the animals are spotted we will drop you off down wind or on an elevated advantage to your desired targets then its let the hunt begin.

We have a fully licenced safe on site so store your firearms whilst you check into your desired accommodation, if you are bringing you own rifles they must be licenced and you will require the appropriate licence for that firearm if you do not have a firearms licence you are required to be accompanied by someone who is, we can arrange this for you with enough notice (2 weeks minimum), our courtesy bus can pick up and deliver to and from your accommodation and the airport.

All Pricing includes up to 4 hours flight time including free transfers, all additional helicopter time will be on charged to the client. We do require a minimum of two passengers to operated but we can cater for up to 6 hunters at a time. We utilise the Bell 206 Jetranger and the Robinson R44 type helicopters for our hunting safaris, please note the legal seat weight limitation for the R44’s is 136kg, we can operate all year round as we are not subject to a defined wet season unlike the northern parts of Australia.

Firearms are available to use if you do not own one or you do not want to bring your own, they are Ruger scout 308 fitted with Red dot scope and a Remington 700 mil spec 5R 300Win Mag fitted with muzzle break and 4.5-30×50 scope.

You supply the Ammunition and we recommend no more than 5kg per person.

All participants are required to carry personal Eperbs or ELT’S (Emergency Locator Transmitters), at least one occupant has a UHF Handheld Radio supplied by us, minimum 2lts water and first aid kit, this is a Company requirement.

We recommend having a reasonable fitness level as the terrain in some places is very demanding on the body.

Under no circumstance will a Firearm be discharged from the Helicopters as this is illegal without the required Training and documentation.
